Meet Taylor Evans
Hi there - I’m Taylor, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC), NASM-Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), RRCA-Certified Run Coach, avid marathon runner, and health and wellness enthusiast! My journey with health and fitness started with trying to find the answers to my own chronic health issues.
After graduating from the University of Southern California (USC) with a B.A. in Public Relations, I spent a decade working in financial communications and capital markets PR, moving between New York, London, and back to Texas. During this time, I developed a number of inflammatory conditions and unhealthy habits, ranging from polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), acne, gastrointestinal issues, severe anemia, yo-yo dieting, and disordered eating, all the while battling corporate burnout and acute anxiety that would flare up in the worst of times! After years of visits to the doctor’s office, countless blood tests, rounds of antibiotics, Accutane®, and even trialing selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) to suppress my anxiety symptoms, I knew something had to give.
At this point, I took matters into my own hands and fully immersed myself in the world of holistic health and functional medicine. Through functional testing, I discovered that years of medication, poor eating habits, and a high-stress lifestyle had led to severe inflammation in my body, which was contributing to various underlying metabolic issues, including insulin resistance (which, if/when gone unchecked, can lead to type 2 diabetes!).
At this point, I made some big changes – including a strategic diet overhaul, a new supplement protocol, a renewed approach to exercise, a drastic career shift, and even a move from London (UK) to Austin (TX). This journey transformed both my life and my husband’s so profoundly that it inspired me to dedicate my career to sharing what I’ve learned with others through Run Well With Tay.
My practice is centered around supporting and guiding others on their journeys to holistic health and optimal wellbeing. My approach to nutrition focuses on diet and lifestyle as the two hallmarks to reducing inflammation and preventing chronic disease. While I believe there will always be a time and a place for traditional medicine, particularly for acute care, I have learned through personal experience that even chronic conditions, such as PCOS, can be effectively managed through small, daily habits that have incredible impact.
I’m a firm believer in bio-individually and practice a 1:1 approach with clients to create individualized plans that meet you where you are to reach your health goals. Whether you are looking to heal GI issues, work towards body recomposition, train for a fitness and/or running-focused goal, or simply establish an effective but sustainable approach to nutrition and exercise, I’d love to work with you!
